I was obsessed with “The Crown” on Netflix. For those that don’t know, it’s the historical drama about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Watching it multiple times allowed me to catch some things that i missed initially. I later learned that I kept watching it not just because I enjoyed it, but because it had become familiar. The familiarity itself made it resonate with me, creating a sense of comfort. At that time, I was experiencing verbal and emotional abuse in silence—something no one knows to this day.

What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.
I’m in my office, door closed, with a sign that clearly says, “In a meeting.” I’m visibly looking at a camera, speaking, gesturing—probably even nodding intensely. And yet, some brave soul still knocks and asks, “Are you busy?”
Nah, I’m just sitting here, practicing my best TED Talk for the walls. What’s up?

What bores you?
I’ve been called bougie all my life simply because I have standards—but let’s be clear, I’m not pretentious. There’s a big difference. Pretentious people are boring. They perform for approval, parroting the same tired nonsense just to seem impressive, never daring to think for themselves. Now, do I have high standards? Absolutely. I believe in carrying myself with poise and class. But that doesn’t mean I can’t let loose and enjoy life. I’m not putting on a show for anyone, and I don’t need to pretend to be someone I’m not to fit into some imaginary elite circle. I appreciate quality, authenticity, and good energy—and trust me, I will always have a good time.

My beloved, you are special—no matter your circumstances. People have always seen your light, and with that comes envy. Don’t let anyone shrink you to fit their idea of what you should be just because you shine brighter than they do. Stay true to yourself! And stop allowing people to project their fears onto you. Those folks operate through a very small aperture. You have everything it takes to live the life you desire, exactly how you want it. You deserve all the good this life has to offer. I have your back, always.
